| Toby graduated from Edinburgh University with a Medieval History degree so a career in media seemed an obvious choice!
He began his career at GGT, moving to OMD in August 1995 to work on Barclaycard as a Junior Planner.
In 2000, his work was recognised at the Media Week Awards where he won the Long Term Brand Building Award for Felix and the Media Week Grand
Prix, which was awarded to Budweiser for Integrated Campaign of the Year.
He was promoted to the board and to run (amongst others), the Vodafone, HMV, NS&I and newly centralised Nestle Purina accounts. He is responsible
for the development of integrated, through the line strategies ranging from the traditional ATL media through to direct and sponsorship
At the end of 2003, he moved onto the McDonald’s account, responsible for managing the transition from their previous agency (of 17 years)
and ensuring that both the client and OMD were getting the most out of the new relationship. Having achieved this, he came back to his ‘roots’ in
2005 and now runs the OMD Strategy Unit, ensuring that quality of thought is maximised across our client portfolio.
