16/01/2007 Duncan and Forrest secure key positions at OMD UK Beth McLoughlin, Media Week
BACK to TOP Jonathan Allan has made his first staff changes since becoming managing director of OMD UK, promoting Neil Duncan and Tim Forrest to two new key roles.

Allan, who was promoted from deputy managing director on 1 January, will not appoint a replacement for himself as deputy managing director.
Instead, Duncan, who becomes head of client development, and Forrest, who becomes head of communication planning, will take on some of Allan's
previous duties.

Allan, 32, replaced Steve Williams as managing director after the latter took over from Nick Manning as OMD UK Group chief executive (Media Week,
12 December). The two new appointments are effective from 1 February.

Duncan joined the agency in 1992 as a TV buyer and has been a business director since 2001. In his new role, he will be responsible for client relationships, ensuring best practice is shared.

"I have worked with Neil for 11 years and he's always been absolutely fantastic at client relationships and developing prime business at OMD," said Allan. "He has been responsible for one of our biggest clients, Reckitt Benckiser, and did a very good and consistent job on that."

Forrest started at OMD in the middle of last year, joining from Attinger Jack. He was previously managing director of Rocket, part of PHD.

Forrest is to work alongside head of strategy Toby Roberts to lead and build on communication planning. "Tim was the ex-managing director of Rocket and has a fantastic planning brain on him," Roberts said. "He has really challenged me and the agency since he's been here and has
a lot of experience."
