Martin trained as a Chartered Accountant, qualifying in 1990, working with PwC as an Audit Manager until 1993.  This was followed by roles in the corporate headquarters of British Steel and WPP.

He joined the European headquarters of CIA in 1999, during which time he spent nine months on secondment as CFO in Sweden.  Martin joined OMD in May 2002, and since this time has been Finance Director across the UK Group's respective agencies; OMD UK, Manning Gottlieb OMD and OMD International.
