Who we are:

Manning Gottlieb OMD was created in 1990 as a media planning and buying agency specialising in creativity. It is headed by Managing Director, Robert Ffitch, who has been with the company since its inception and who continues to drive our ethos of Continually Creating Difference. Our ethos pushes us to find new, innovative and creative solutions to our clients’ briefs and new inspiring ways to work together and run our company. Our attitude of never standing still, always looking ahead and always wanting to make a difference defines our agency ethos and spirit. A spirit that is reflected in our client base and the people who work here. We believe in the power of ideas to make that difference. Ideas that influence consumer’s attitudes and behaviours towards our client’s brands and that ultimately deliver commercial success. Everything we do, from our internal training programme through to the campaigns we create and deliver, is designed to make a difference.

The agency has over 180 people, billings of over £350m and has the buying support of the OPera negotiation team with over £1bn worth of billings, helping us to deliver tangible benefits for our clients in the form of quality, value and discount. Manning Gottlieb OMD has won over 25 awards in the past three years including the coveted Media Week Grand Prix for our Home Office, Police Community Support Officers work in 2007.

What we do:

The conventional description of what we do has evolved from simply planning and buying media across a broad range of channels to an approach that tackles the complexity and changing nature of the modern media landscape and the evolving behaviour of consumers. We call our approach INFLUENCE planning and it focuses on the outputs of our communications and the impact of influence. Our role now is to create, direct and amplify the flow of influence between brands and consumers. It’s about how ideas and channels influence people, not about how much media people consume, or how often. The philosophy extends across all our planning and buying specialists, from TV to online and emerging digital channels as well as to our specialist business units and our specialist entertainment division, invENTS.
